Black Silo suspended fire in the corner of a bright living room
SAFETY

Safety comes first.

A real flame deserves real care. Here is what every owner should know.

Our standard

The ethanol burners and fireplaces we sell are made to comply with BS EN 16647:2015, the standard for decorative bioethanol fireplaces. We strongly advise against using any fireplace that does not comply.

As with any open flame, caution matters. Read the user manual before you light your fire for the first time, get to know how it works, and treat bioethanol as the highly flammable liquid it is.

SAFETY MARKINGS

Six things to know before you light it.

Do not fill while hot
Let the burner cool completely before refuelling.
Do not fill while operating
Never add fuel to a lit or recently lit burner.
Do not fill above the max line
Overfilling risks spills. Fill to the line and no further.
Flammable liquid
Store fuel sealed, upright and away from heat and flame.
Use the supplied accessories
Light and extinguish with the tools made for your fire.
Keep away from children
Supervise children and pets around any open flame.
